Mike works throughout the creative process: from insight, ideas and vision at the front end, to embodying design concepts and their execution at the back end. He thinks big picture about brand and experience, refines and details at a granular level, and speaks fluent user insight, brand, technology and manufacture. 

Design Research - Mike informs and inspires creative and strategic vision. He has managed global ethnographic projects in and out of home so knows how to uncover and contextualise insights from the inner workings of observational research to user experience and customer journeys. He studies the shifts in culture and society and their impact on today’s users and stakeholders, and tomorrow’s landscapes.

Design Strategy & Vision - Mike imagines and proposes future scenarios and outcomes. He makes connections, frames opportunities and projects vision spanning physical and digital, creating propositions that leverage capabilities. Experienced at running workshops, he moderates cross-disciplinary teams in working sessions that create, map and prioritise ideas, and align brand and technology.

Design Embodiment & Execution - Mike embodies and develops concepts towards launch. He crafts and perfects usability, function and aesthetics. He makes things tangible and physical through visualisation and prototyping so the experience can be showcased and evaluated. He works closely with manufacturer and development partners, and has contributed to design registrations and patents.
